DESCRIPTION:Join the community for the Canada Day Pancake Breakfast co-hosted by the Bedford Lions\, Councillor Jean St-Amand and the Bedford Legion (as the Royal Canadian Legion proudly celebrates its 100th anniversary). \nWe’ve moved the breakfast to the Lions Den at the LeBrun Centre for a bit of resiliency against the weather\, just in case. Conveniently it’s a very walkable location and not far from DeWolf Park where the rest of the Canada Day festivities are celebrated. \nWe’ll be joined by the Bedford Volunteer Fire Department to give kids a chance to see their truck and equipment up close and talk about what it’s like to be a firefighter. \nWe’re also asking those that are able to bring non-perishable donations for the Bedford Lions Food Pantry.

DESCRIPTION:This workshop is open and free to anyone with an interest in suburban main streets\, however we strongly encourage those who work\, live\, own property or spend a lot of time on one of the listed main streets\, to attend. Registration is encouraged\, as space is limited. To register for the workshop\, fill out the form below\n\n\nWhat to Expect: \n\nThis is a 2-hour workshop. Participants who register are asked to stay the entire 2 hours.\nEach workshop will include presentations and seated group activities at tables throughout the room.\nTables will include photos\, maps\, modelling blocks\, and other materials to spark discussions.\nThese workshops are focused on the design of buildings\, landscaping\, gathering spaces\, the types of stores and services you’d like to see\, accessibility improvements and more.\nCommunity members will collaborate to create a unique vision and guiding principles for their local main street.\n\nIf you do not want to participate in the full 2-hour workshop\, you do not need to register. Feel free to stop by anyway!
